The Triangle Art Quilters Guild is centered in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The group was started in 1997 by Annette Rogers.
Originally, and for a decade, the TAQ met in the evening,
the second Tuesday of each month, at the NCSU Crafts Center.
Each meeting was a two hour show and tell.
We have always been a small guild.
At our largest, the evening TAQ had about 14 active members, plus many less frequent members.
Attendance fell off in recent years, so it was decided to reinvent ourselves.
We switched to afternoon meetings and to a hands-on workshop format.
Attendance revived, and we hope to attract even more participants.
Most meetings begin with a "show and tell" of our current projects.
Several of our members teach classes, either at the Crafts Center, at various guilds, or at other venues.
