The Triangle Art Quilters Guild is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and welcomes participants from all over Wake County (Cary, Apex, Garner, and other towns) as well as from the wider Research Triangle area (Wake, Orange, and Durham Counties) and from Johnston County (Clayton).

We meet the second Tuesday of each month in the afternoon, from 2pm to 4pm, at the Crafts Center on the NSCU campus.

The TAQ is for four categories of people:
__ Art quilters who want to show their latest work and get reactions.
__ Art quilters who want to expand their repertoire of materials, techniques, and tools.
__ Traditional quilters who want to see what art quilting is about.
__ And we welcome non-quilters who simply want to come see our creations.

At most meetings, one or more members will lead the group in a workshop or demonstrate a material, technique, or tool.  As each upcoming meeting is laid out, a description will be placed under "MEETINGS" to tell you the topic, what you need to bring, and what will be provided.

The TAQ has no membership dues.  Some of our workshops may ask you to pay a small materials fee or to buy a basic package of supplies for that month’s project.

The TAQ has no membership list and no "membership" requirements.  You simply show up whenever that month's program appeals to you.  However, we do take attendance at each meeting so that we can define who is an active member for participation in shows.

The TAQ also has no officers or defined leaders.  It is our hope that many of the attendees will play their part in suggesting activities and leading workshops.  You don't have to be an expert to lead a workshop.  In fact, if there's a technique or material you've never tried but want to attempt, this group is happy to attempt it with you.  We're also delighted to have people come even if they never lead a workshop.
