Just the thing for an artist ~~~ a quality sketchbook from an artist's supply
store with an embroidered and quilted cover.
The cover is my hand-dyed cotton with my own stencils of dogwood leaves,
(made from leaves from my yard).
Leaf details and dogwood berries have been added with inks.
The cotton is quilted over canvas for durability.
This hardbound sketchbook, without the quilted cover, is 5.25 inches wide by
7.25 inches tall.
With the cover on, it's 5 and 3/8 inches wide and 7 and 7/8 inches tall.
The sketchbook contains premium 70 lb acid-free
pale cream paper with a
fine even surface, which will accept pen and ink, colored pencil,
drawing chalks, pastels, graphite, other dry media, and even
light watercolor washes.
Page size is 5 inches by 7 inches.
The stack of pages is half an inch thick.
The sketchbook includes a ribbon bookmark.
When the sketchbook is filled up, it can be removed and a new one inserted.
