A verse by the Japanese poet Basho is written on my hand-dyed cotton
and accented with two appliqued leaves in two other hand-dyed cottons.
The postcard quilt is 4 inches tall by 6 inches wide.

Quilting is in a variegated thread.
Edges are satin-stitched rather than bound.

The postcard quilt is mounted on a tan mat board,
accented with a sage-green mat,
and framed in brown wood under glass.
