The usual date is a birthdate centered under the name. (Recently I've started putting the date in its own little box when there's a thumbtack border rather than a fancier border.) |
If you choose the "birth certificate" decoration or the "rose plus certificate" for a block-letter sign, the date goes below the certificate. |

On any banner-style sign, the date goes inside the box
with the name, usually just above or below a "swash" accenting the name.

Add the school years 'YY~'YY
or just the year YYYY to any sign for free.

Add a date that's written out the long way ---
March 12, 2005 for example, or December 25, 2006
