A 3-table rotation allows 12 people to play cards at 3 tables,
changing partners and opponents and tables for each round.
My 3-table progressive instructions are a COMPLETE rotation
which means that over eleven rounds
each player is PARTNERED with each other player once.
Each player also plays against most but not all of the other players.
My 3-table rotation is NOT a PERFECT rotation.
If it were perfect, each player would meet each other player
as an opponent exactly twice -- no more and no less.
But in my rotation, each player fails to meet at least one other player
as an opponent, some players meet an opponent for a third time beginning in
round 7, and in round 11 some players meet an opponent for a fourth time.
I continue to work on my 3-table rotation and hope to develop the perfect one.
Working out a full 11 rounds with these characteristics -- no repeats in partners
and exactly two appearances per opponent -- is an extremely difficult task.
